Xtreme Inc. was originally registered in 1996 as Xtreme by Steve Hewlett, offering commercial and residential tinting services from a one-room office in the Grand River Flea Market building in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada before expanding services later that year to include graphic design by merging with Twilight Graphics' owner Steve Rollins. By 2000, Xtreme registered as an incorporation under Xtreme Inc. and had already expanded operating space and services which included signs, vehicle graphics, automotive window tinting, automotive accessories and neon lighting. In May 2001, Xtreme Inc. moved to a larger space within the same building to expand operations and showroom space as well as a drive-in bay for automotive graphics application and tinting.

Today, Xtreme Inc. is one of the largest retailers of automotive accessories and neon lighting in the Waterloo region.

In May of 2010 Xtreme has moved around the back of the Grand River Flea Market Building in a new 4000 square foot facility.
